The Art of Shopping

Shopping on a website is fun and easy, and we hope you enjoy it. Part of the fun is that you can put goods into your 'shopping basket' (or as we call it, your 'catbasket') to see how they fit your budget, and you have absolutely no obligation to then buy them. It is the ultimate in 'window shopping'.

As you look at the different products, you will see an option to 'put in catbasket' - just select this option to add that product to your basket. You can always visit the 'basket' again to take things out etc. No money is involved at this stage ! When you leave our website, your Catbasket is automatically emptied, and is ready for you again for the next time you return.

If you decide that you might want to buy the things in your catbasket, then just visit your catbasket (using the option in the upper-right of your screen) and click on 'goto checkout'. You will be asked a few questions about delivery address etc, and eventually asked to put your credit card details in. It is only at THAT stage that you will be charged, and there are plenty of opportunities to change your mind beforehand.

If you DO buy something by 'accident' , then don't worry. Just contact us immediately and we can cancel your order and return your money. (This all happens electronically, so refunds to your credit/debit card happen very quickly).

Payment
We can only accept on-line payment by the following cards.

Delivery
There is a charge of £3.00 to cover handling and packaging for each order up to £35 in value. This charge is waived for orders of £35 or above.
We aim to dispatch your goods by 2nd class post within 7 days of you placing your order. If you have given us an email address, then we will email you to let you know that your order is on its way. You should allow 3-5 days for postal delivery from that point. If for any reason there is a delay (very rare), we will contact you immediately.
Large orders may require a courier, in which case we may need to contact you to confirm that you will be available to receive the goods.
As noted on the website, Hobbycat can currently only deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom. If you place an order for delivery outside this area, then we reserve the right to cancel the order, and refund your payment minus a £1.50 administration fee to cover the electronic transaction costs. We hope to be able to offer delivery to Eire and Western Europe in the near future
